Costume vendors and size charts

Add the costume companies you buy from and import their size charts so FrontRow can suggest sizes.

Each costume comes from a vendor, and each vendor has its own size chart. Once a vendor's chart is in FrontRow, every costume from that vendor can be sized automatically from your students' measurements.

Only owners and admins can add vendors and size charts. Other staff can view them.

Open vendors and size charts#

  1. Open Costumes in the menu.
  2. On the Costumes tab, select Size charts at the top. The Vendors & size charts panel opens.

Add a vendor by hand#

  1. Under Get started, type the Vendor name.
  2. Select Add vendor.

Then import that vendor's size chart so its costumes can be sized.

Import a size chart#

Size charts come in as a spreadsheet file (CSV). The easiest way to start is with our template.

  1. Select Download CSV template at the top of the panel.
  2. Open it in Excel or Google Sheets and fill it in from your vendor's chart. Each row is one size, smallest first. Columns hold the vendor, the chart name, the unit (inches or centimetres), the size, and the smallest and largest measurement for each size (girth, height, chest, waist, hips and inseam). Leave out any measurement the vendor doesn't use.
  3. Save it as a CSV file.
  4. Under Import size charts, choose the file, or paste its contents into the box.
  5. Select Import.

If a vendor in the file doesn't exist yet, it's created for you. If any line has a problem, nothing is imported, and FrontRow lists each line to fix. Fix them and import again.

Try it with sample charts#

Don't have your vendors' charts yet? Select Add sample charts to load some made-up example charts. They let you try sizing straight away, but replace them with your vendors' real charts before you order.

Check a chart#

Every chart is shown in the panel as a table: each size and the measurement range it covers, in inches or centimetres.

Tip: Most vendors publish their size charts on their website or in their catalog. Copy them carefully, since every suggested size depends on them.
