Set up your store

FrontRow's store lets you sell dancewear, shoes and studio merchandise in three places: online to anyone, in the parent portal, and at the front desk. Everything is picked up at the studio, so there's no shipping to worry about.

Only owners and admins can change store settings.

Before you start#

To take card payments online, your studio needs to be connected to Stripe, the payment company FrontRow uses to process cards. Card payments go to your connected account. See Set up payments.

Open the store settings#

1. Open Store in the menu (on a computer, look under More in the top bar).
2. Select Settings.

Turn on the online store#

In the Online store card, turn on the switch at the top right. It saves straight away. Turn it off any time to stop taking online orders.

Then fill in:

• Pickup instructions: when and where to collect orders, like "Collect from the front desk, Monday to Thursday 4 to 8pm". This shows at checkout, on the order page and in the "ready for pickup" email.
• Returns and questions: your returns policy and who to ask.
• Low-stock level: items with this many or fewer left are flagged as Low stock in your product list.

Select Save changes in the bar at the bottom.

Once the store is on, this card shows your store's link to share, and snippets for adding it to another website. See Sell on your website.

Sales tax and the parent portal#

In the Sales tax and portal card:

• Sales tax rate (%): your combined state and local rate, like 8.875. It's added to items marked taxable.
• Sell in the parent portal: when ticked, families see a Store page in their portal where they can order and pay with a saved card or add it to their balance.

Select Save changes.
