Change your design

Pick a theme and set your website's colors, fonts, header, menus, footer and search settings.

The Design tab controls how every page on your website looks: colors, fonts, buttons, the header and menu across the top, and the footer at the bottom. A live preview on the right shows your changes as you make them.

Only owners and admins can change the website.

Open the design settings#

  1. Open Website in the menu.
  2. Select the Design tab.

Down the side (or across the top on a phone) are the sections: Themes, Colors, Fonts, Header, Menus, Footer and SEO. A small dot on a section means something there needs fixing.

Pick a theme#

Under Themes, point at a theme to try it in the preview, then click it to use it. Turn on Keep my colors if you only want a theme's fonts, shapes, spacing, header and footer.

Colors#

Set your Primary, Accent, Background, Surface and Text colors. Each one says where it's used. Below them, FrontRow checks how easy your text is to read against the background and warns you if the contrast is too low.

Fonts and style#

Choose a Heading font and a Body font, then a Button shape (Square, Rounded or Pill) and Spacing (Compact, Normal or Airy).

  • Layout: how your logo and menu are arranged.
  • Logo: choose an image. Without one, FrontRow uses your studio logo from your studio settings, or your studio name.
  • Show a register button: adds a button that opens your registration page. You can change its label.
  • Announcement bar: a thin bar above the header for news like open enrollment, with an optional link.

Under Header menu, add, rename, reorder and remove the links across the top of every page. Select Add link, give it a label, and choose where it goes. Each menu can have up to 12 links.

Good to know: New pages aren't added to your menu automatically, so add a link here when you create one.

Choose a footer Layout, add Footer text, set up the Footer menu, and add links to your Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube. Turn on Show opening hours and Show address to show them at the bottom of every page.

Search and sharing#

Under SEO, set the defaults for any page that doesn't have its own:

  • Title suffix: added after every page title in search results and browser tabs, like "| Your studio".
  • Description: the summary shown under your site in search results (up to 160 characters).
  • Default social image: the picture shown when someone shares a link to your site. A wide image (1200 × 630) works best.

Save your changes#

When you change anything, a bar appears at the bottom. Select Save design to save, or Discard to throw your changes away. You can also use the undo and redo buttons at the top.

Saving updates your draft only. Visitors see the new design once you publish.

Good to know: If someone else saved the design while you had it open, you'll see Someone else changed the design. Choose Load the latest version to see theirs (your unsaved changes are lost), or Save mine over it.
