Photos and the media library

Upload photos for your website, add alt text so everyone can understand them, and delete images you no longer use.

Website2 min read

The Media tab holds every photo and graphic on your website. Upload your images here once, then use them on any page, in your header logo or as a sharing image.

Only owners and admins can manage the website.

Upload photos#

  1. Open Website in the menu, then the Media tab.
  2. Drag images onto the upload box, or select choose files and pick them.

You can upload JPEG, PNG or GIF images up to 15 MB each. Photos are resized for phones automatically, and location data is removed from them.

You can also upload while editing a page: when you choose an image for a block, the picker lets you upload a new one or pick from your library.

Tip: Bright photos of real classes, your space and your team do more than any stock image.

Add alt text#

Alt text is a short description of what an image shows. Screen readers read it aloud for people who can't see the image, and search engines use it too.

  1. Find the image on the Media tab. Images without a description are marked Missing alt text.
  2. Type a description under Alt text, like "Young dancers practising a leap in Studio A".
  3. Select Save alt text.

To find every image that still needs a description, select Show missing alt text only.

Delete an image#

  1. Select Delete under the image.
  2. Select Delete image to confirm.

Deleting can't be undone. If the image is still used somewhere on your site, FrontRow won't delete it and lists where it's used instead, such as a page, your header logo or your live site. Replace it in those places (and publish, if it's on your live site), then try again.

If you have lots of images#

The newest images show first. Select Load more images at the bottom to see older ones.
